In a recent interview with Metro, Meyer was asked how far did the team get with the remaster in terms of pushing a game on Sony's PlayStation 4.
"I think we're just scratching the surface. Obviously this isn't our first game that's been developed purely for the PS4, so I think for us this is a great proof of concept that, 'Here's the first foundation of how good we can do it and how far we can push it'.
And that's without doing something that's made ground-up for the PS4.
It's always been hard to quantify because it's so extremely relative to everything else. And with some things we're actually reaching the limit of your eye anyway, which is crazy.
But I think when you look at the way that our games have improved from game to game, there is a clear progression there and I think you can expect that as you continue development on the PS4," said Meyer.
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will be available in 2015 for PlayStation 4, and is being built from ground up for it.
